Depression comics! Aaaah.
Bigger version here:
http://jessfink.com/kwe/I keep believing this will happen someday but it never does. I am 30 years old and I still get waylaid by anxiety and depression.
What has happened instead is I’ve gotten better at dealing with it. Instead of curling up in a ball and crying in bed all day I cry for maybe and hour and then I try to do SOMETHING even if it’s just the dishes. I have to accept the fact that I’m never going to not be afraid of everything, I am just going to get better at managing my fear and maybe that is what being an adult is.
I adore this and relate completely. <3
One day we will win the battle.

I wrote a story about a Pudding, a large cat, who saved his new owner from a diabetic seizure and it’s gone viral. Having a story go viral has its ups and downs. People stealing your work is a downer. Seeing it spread all over the country is a plus.
The original story is below.

Journalists are easy to vilify because they’re eminently vilifiable. Their job is to intrude, to ignore decorum and to sow chaos where harmony presides. Show me a journalist and I’ll show you something not to like. Put me in front of a mirror and I’ll show you something to despise. It’s that sort of profession.

The joys of being on deadline: first I ran out of gas, then paper. But it’s 7 pm and I finally have time to eat lunch #partylikeajournalist
